Support 100% E-Ticketing

Abacus has always been firmly supportive of IATA’s efforts to move the industry to a paperless environment and the considerable benefits it will bring throughout the travel distribution chain.

To date, Abacus has enabled 99.7% of our tickets for electronic ticketing. As of 21 April 2008 the actual adoption across our system is more than 91%.

 
We are very confident this will continue to edge up towards at least 97% before 31 May 2008, subject to continuing support and progress from the airlines and ground handlers.

 
In response to IATA’s request, made on behalf of its member carriers,  Abacus will restrict paper BSP tickets from being issued through our system on or after1 June 2008.
