Singapore, 13 February 2012 – Abacus International, Asia’s leading revenue partner for airlines, today announced a new agreement with Mihin Lanka, the low cost carrier of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka owned by the government of Sri Lanka. Through the agreement, Mihin Lanka provides Abacus-connected travel agents access to the airline’s entire published inventory of flights and fares.

Operating from Colombo, Mihin Lanka offers scheduled services to various destinations in the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East and the Fast East regions, and plans to expand further with flights to Manila and additional destinations in the Indian Sub-Continent during this Summer 2012. They are also looking to add additional aircraft in their growth efforts across the region. “With a vast travel agency network and extensive Asia footprint, Abacus will provide us with an important distribution channel that will help make Mihin Lanka more accessible to travellers,” said Mr Kapila Chandrasena, CEO, Mihin Lanka.
